Kyos Vhen was a human male practitioner of the dark side of the Force who professed to be a member of the Jedi Exiles,
despite having never been an original member of the Jedi Order. Instead, he began his life on Coruscant as a junior senator.
Later, he attended the University of Alderaan, where he developed a passion for art and religion. At some point after graduating,
he set off into the galaxy to pursue his passions, only to return a menacing Dark Jedi with unclear intentions.

Biography




Kyos was born on Coruscant midway through the Hundred-Year Darkness. A bright and ambitious youth, Kyos joined the Republic Senate Youth Program
when he became old enough, quickly rising to "junior senator." Initially, his dream was to pursue the election for senator of Coruscant;
however, as he grew older, his interests diversified into a passion for both religon and art.



When he was in his late teenage years, he attended the University of Alderaan, where he purportedly studied his passions.
Though he never became a religious man himself, he took a particular interest in the Force-worshiping religions of the galaxy,
particularly due to their magnificent artwork, scrawled across their various places of worship and temples. He was noted as a bright and promising student,
and, after his graduation, he set off for the Outer Rim Territories in hopes of making discoveries of his own.



What exactly happened to Kyos in the far Outer Rim is, however, mostly unknown. When he returned, now a significantly older man,
he had fully uncovered his latent Force potential and had been significantly trained in the dark side of the Force. More importantly,
his knowledge of and fascination with Force-related religions had increased dramatically... as had his ambitions.
Having never been originally a member of the Jedi Order, he was unique among the so-called "Jedi Exiles" in that he had no grudge against the Order,
save that he found it woefully misinformed, selfish, and hypocritical.



As a result of his brush with politics, Kyos remained a shadowy figure in Exile affairs, resolving never to reveal his hand and thus give away
what little power he clung to. As a result, his motives remain unknown and he has remained on the periphery of Exile activity until recently,
quietly observing the actions, rises, and falls of several individuals—including the incredibly crafty cell of Exiles on the Deep Core world of Prakith—from afar
before finally revealing himself to those he deemed to be the right individuals...

Personality and traits



Kyos Vhen's brush with politics was not for naught. He learned the value of keeping both a public and private persona,
carefully guarding the latter to keep his enemies in the dark as to his true nature and abilities. His public demeanor was that of a grandfatherly man,
eager to share his wisdom and knowledge with the youth of the galaxy—most especially those within the Jedi Exile organization.
He enjoyed debating all forms of art, particularly paintings and holofilms, and political theory and he enjoyed conversations that broadened
his knowledge of the galaxy's innumerable religions. He feigned modesty, downplaying his own skills, and even appeared to most Exiles to be
incompetent in matters of the dark side.



This is all a feign: in reality, Kyos Vhen is highly manipulative, shrewd, cunning, self-centered, and unmistakably cruel.
He is prone to bursts of extreme anger and sadism when he allows this side of him to shine through the ruse, capable of striking fear into all
who see this side of him. His singular goal seems to be promoting his own interests, whatever those might be, though he is not above helping others
when their goals align with or promote his own interests. He loathed luxury and rarely permitted himself those luxuries many other Exiles granted themselves.
He believed that his sole purpose, indeed that of any dark sider, was to obtain power and knowledge at all costs and despite any risk.
However, some features of his public persona carried over to his more secretive "true" persona.



Kyos was a great admirer of art, for one. Though he despised luxury, the one he allowed himself was a small (but steadily growing) collection of religious
murals and artwork, which he not only observed for his own musings and pleasure, but also because he believed such works would help him to understand
the galaxy's inhabitants. Doing so, he thought, would help him to better understand how to control them or manipulate them to his purposes.
In fact, he would frequently meditate on the Force when observing his collection of art, enabling him to better ascertain the situation to which
he sought clearer understanding.

Powers and abilities



Kyos Vhen was a Force-user at heart. While he could and did use a crimson-bladed lightsaber when the situation required it,
he preferred to strictly rely upon the Force when combat arose. In particular, he used a unique brand of dark side magic in addition to the more standard powers,
such as Force lightning and telekinesis, in order to distinguish himself from other Jedi Exiles.

Equipment



Kyos wears a simple set of black robes in most instances. Occasionally, he will switch to a set of violet robes, when he is in a more public
setting and unwilling to draw attention to his affiliations. He carries with him two single-bladed crimson lightsabers,
which remain hidden up his sleeves for a quick withdraw in a moment of need. He also carries around the standard equipment needed for communication:
a comlink and a datapad.
